Feminine Pursuits

I recently returned from a five-day vacation with 3 females and the energy provided to them and I (us) by Northern California. I was the guide (a book was there but was only glanced at aboard the plane) and ultimately decided each destination and stop and activity, but never was there any actual disagreement. I was sensitive to the needs and wants of these women. We stood in the ocean, we saw a band, we drank $1 cups of coffee from a coffee shop that is a gathering place for community activists who are also anarchists. Indeed we were invited to speak our views on this. We sat in red couches and we walked many miles, despite a torn ACL injury that one of the women sustained in a bicycle crash some weeks earlier (she is a casual rider). We used an apartment of a man named George, we boarded buses and took cabs, but mostly we walked. We ate breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon churros, dinner, and late-nite pizza. We drank whiskey in a 102-yr-old bar in Novato California because we did not want to sit in traffic. At this bar, Gary gave me knuckle-bumps and topped off my Glenlivet whiskey drink for me (this has never happened before). The highlights and lowlights of the trip were agreed on by all, and none of these highlights were experiences one can pay for, while none of the lowlights were able to dampen our mood (the fucking douchecandle at the bar leaning in and telling me how he wants to "make out with Carolee........'s vagina") - no, this man was accepted s part of our journey. Our stop at Shug fucking vineyards, that led to our chance encounter with Jerry and Dave in Glenallen. These types of experiences can not be bought or purchased or experienced without an open mind. The hug I received from the young philosopher at the concert, the whiskey top-off in Novato, and the kind "cognac" shared with us by Jerry (above) in Glenallen, those were the highlights. The stop at Toronado (my favorite bar in the world) and the free shrimp provided by my most beautiful ex-girlfriend to our table, these were the highlights. No one would list the fancy Keller winery as a highlight, but the journey to find it provided many highlights. At the end, as we parted ways with Carolee and her unbelievable figure and disposition, we yelled "whaaaaat" and received a "yeeeayeeeaaaah" (a la Lil Jon) in return. The mom at the concert, indeed raising a fine young philosopher and son, in a slightly mocking tone regarding the fact that I camp with my girlfriend, "does she wear makeup while camping?" and my response "no, she cooks incredible meals and has sex on the ground," indeed those were the highlights. There would be nothing wrong with getting in touch with your feminine side (if you had one).

  1. What are "knuckle-bumps"?

I think first of taking a bump of cocaine off a knuckle, maybe the large knuckle of the index finger. I suppose you are doing the blow off Gary's knuckle and not your own? It is also a surprise this is allowed to be done openly in a 102 year old California bar.

Or, I think this is maybe the western term for what we have called on the eastern coast a "dap", which is a fist bump, a usually gentle tapping of the closed fists between 2 persons, a sign of comaradery and one modeled on the glove-tapping gesture of sportsmanship by prizefighters prior to a bout.
