He wakes up every day exactly where he would choose to wake up, if, in during the night, in one of his crazy dreams, he were asked where he would like to wake up. These crazy dreams.
She dreamed too. So did the dog.
She sang and held a wire to try to fend off the ice-pirates. The wire, with the energy provided by her singing, would thaw the ice pirates. Those ice-pirates though, were crafty and would change forms or powers to adapt to whatever defense their targets would put up. They would have to keep trying, though, because they couldn’t overcome her singing while holding that wire.
The dog was chasing a man with a headlamp through the forest. The man had water so the man could keep going. The dog gave up on the chase once she realized the man was no longer a threat. Actually the dog chased for a little longer than that, to humble and scare the man. To be sure he wouldn’t be back.
The dreams started six months ago, and have never been so amazing. Vivid, lucid, amazing, adventure. In his head, in the comfort of her bed. The days have more meaning than before, but the wild adventure happens at night. By day the goal is to build the life a certain way. It does go against his instinct sometimes, but for now, this makes sense. The balance is what is important. To do a good job at all things, not just one thing. To succeed to him, is to get away with having this life and not letting anyone take it from him. It’s blurry today, what this will lead to, but he knows the result will be worth it. This is the project.
