73) The ease of these perfect mornings and perfect evenings do nothing to calm the unease within.
74) The heat causes hurricanes around, both literally and figuratively. The roads are a mess and the laborers labor because they are told to and paid to. They do not mind this heat; this heat provides for them. For someone who is not being told to do anything, who will not be told to do anything, the heat might drain energy, but provides torment.
75) The boredom should remind you of your vision quest. The boredom should remind you of your day on House Mountain. If you don't remember a vision, remember the boredom you experienced. Remember what it feels like to beg the sun to move across the sky, and for the winds to bring you something, anything, to take your mind off of this boredom. Did you see anything at all? Did you have a vision?

How long we can hold on to these visions before they are distorted? How long before the next fog rolls in. It may be a warm or a cold fog. Do you have time to come from the mountain and relate your vision? No one understands the vision. They call you the son of god now and follow you around and interpret your words. Now the high priests are threatened by your words. Now you carry your own cross.
ReplyDeleteWhat Jesus failed to do was swing that big fucking cross at the guards and kill them all.
